Goose Valley Golf Estate sits on the banks of the Keurbooms River estuary, roughly seven kilometres east of Plettenberg Bay town. It is a gated estate built around an 18-hole golf course, and the houses are woven into the fairways rather than stacked along a street — which is why a stay here feels less like a resort and more like borrowing someone's home in a nature reserve.
The geese are not a marketing device. Egyptian geese genuinely live on the fairways and the water hazards, and they are the reason the estate carries the name. Along with the birdlife, the estate keeps a boardwalk down to the river, a swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, a driving range, and a clubhouse restaurant that most guests end up eating at least once.
Practically, it means you get security and quiet without giving up the beach — Keurbooms and the town beaches are a short drive, and Robberg Nature Reserve is about twenty minutes the other way. It suits families, golfers and anyone who wants a self-catering house with space rather than a hotel room.
We are not affiliated with the estate, the homeowners' association or the golf club, and we cannot arrange golf tee times, gate access or estate facilities. Those go through the property owner you book with.
Plettenberg Bay is small enough to drive across in fifteen minutes and varied enough that the area you pick changes the holiday. These are the four we index.

Goose Valley Golf Estate has its own management and its own on-site rental arrangements. We are entirely independent of them and have no affiliation with the estate, the homeowners' association or the golf club.
Arrival instructions, gate access, key collection and anything that goes wrong on site are between you and the property owner or their manager.
