Under the kudu skull
The covered lapa holds a built-in braai fire insert with a mounted kudu skull above it, opening onto a wooden deck laid out for outdoor dining. That is where the evenings go. Exposed timber trusses carry through the rest of the unit, which gives the rooms more height and character than the name lets on.
Every bedroom opens onto decking
Both bedrooms have glass doors onto their own stretch of deck, one made up with twin beds and one with singles, and there are two bathrooms, the main one with a dark-tiled corner shower. Family rooms, a fireplace and a washing machine are all part of the arrangement, and parking is free on the property.
