Wood beams the whole way through
It is a single-storey brick cottage, with vaulted ceilings and exposed wood beams running through the living areas and on into the bedrooms, which gives small rooms more air than their footprint suggests. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room, all on one level, with a private entrance of its own.
A papaya tree in the garden
The walled garden is the best thing here — lawn, hedging for privacy and a papaya tree that actually fruits. This is a private garden in the real sense, enclosed rather than shared with neighbours. No dedicated terrace seating or braai appears in the supplied photographs, so ask the owner first if outdoor cooking matters to you.
Dogs welcome, three minutes to Poortjies
