About this hotel
Plunge pools, in a row
Rather than one large swimming pool, the rooftop terrace holds a series of tiled plunge pools, which changes the character of an afternoon up there considerably. More sitting and looking, fewer lengths. The hillside site gives an unbroken view from the peninsula across the lagoon mouth to the town below.
Every room faces the same way
Bedrooms have private balconies sharing that outlook, with oversized beds, air-conditioned rooms, a tea station and a Nespresso machine. The restaurant opens fully onto the view and is plainly built around sunset, while the Sky Bar runs platters, tapas and cocktails. A fitness centre and a business centre are on site as well.
The Annex, a short walk off
Six en-suite air-conditioned bedrooms sit in a separate guesthouse within walking distance of the main hotel, sharing a lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, a fireplace, a pool and an entertainment area. Annex guests can still use the hotel's facilities. Worth asking about if a group would rather have its own front door.
What 873 guests said
Across 873 reviews the hotel holds 8.7, with couples rating the location 9.2, so this is a well-tested score rather than a handful of opinions. Monkeyland and Birds of Eden are within a twenty-minute drive and Plettenberg Bay Country Club is five kilometres away. Free WiFi, secure parking and an airport shuttle are arranged on site.
