The lagoon starts at the lawn
The house sits directly on the Keurbooms lagoon, with dunes and the sea beyond it. It is a beachfront position, though the water at the bottom of the lawn is estuary rather than surf, and the Outeniqua mountains close the view on the far side. Fishing and canoeing are among the things guests do from here.
A stepped pool and a scooter
A stepped swimming pool and a lawn run down from the house, with upstairs balconies above and a sculptural bench at the pool edge. A scooter parked alongside gives the whole poolside a lived-in, unbothered character. Braai facilities and a garden fill out the outside, and parking is free and private.
