About this holiday home
The lawn ends at the sand
Deckchairs on the front lawn face straight onto open beach and ocean with no buildings in between, because the house sits directly on the dune boardwalk. The sea views here are the genuine article rather than a distant sliver, and beachfront means exactly what it says. Lookout Beach is a sixteen-minute walk if you want a different stretch of sand.
One raftered room does everything
Living, kitchen and dining share a single room under exposed rafters, which is either the whole point of a beach house or a dealbreaker, depending on your party. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, and a separate covered deck adds an outdoor dining and lounge area with braai facilities to hand.
Sleeping happens in the loft
The listing counts four bedrooms, though the sleeping is loft-style under exposed wooden beams rather than a conventional bedroom wing. That is worth knowing before you divide up the party. A washing machine, free WiFi and secure private parking cover the practicalities, and the garden and sun terrace handle the rest.
