A deck facing the sea
The cottage has two outdoor rooms, in effect: a sea-facing deck looking out over coastal bush towards the ocean, and a separate pergola-covered patio for eating outside. The single bedroom faces the other way, sliding open onto a lawned garden. One bedroom and a private bathroom, and not much reason to be indoors.
Driftwood, wicker, a wood stove
Furnishings run to driftwood and wicker, with a wood-burning stove in the second lounge for the evenings when the wind comes up off the water. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and there is a washing machine, which makes a long self-catering stay workable rather than merely possible.
